The 5th Primary School is located in the north part of Florina, next to the School for children with special needs. The school has a history of more than 80 years. It is a public Primary School that receives money from the government and follows the government’s criteria in every aspect. The schooling ages range from six to twelve years old. There are a total of 130 students and 20 teachers. The students with special educational needs and the immigrants receive special attention.
The 5th Primary School of Florina will:
- Create a multilingual glossary of visual arts in cooperation with the Applied and Visual Arts department (University of Western Macedonia, Greece);
- Participate in the workshops provided by the Applied and Visual Arts department (University of Western Macedonia, Florina, Greece);
- Prepare the teaching scenarios in cooperation with the Applied and Visual Arts (University of Western Macedonia, Florina, Greece);
- Be the pilot school in which the educational material will be implemented and evaluated;
- Participate in the workshops provided by the Applied and visual arts department (University of Western Macedonia, Florina, Greece);
- Implement the art educational program that will take place, in a pilot mode, in the Museum of Contemporary Art;
- Exhibit students’ paintings in the Museum of Contemporary Art;
- Publish a calendar and Christmas cards with students’ painting;
- Prepare a digital art guide as a part of the project website;
- Design a printed city map showing the existing art ateliers.
